I’d hardly consider myself an influencer but I guess in a way, I am. I have a blog and social media presence where I talk to millennials about money mostly and lifestyle topics.

When I talk about things I like and products I noticed, my audience takes action. And, I guess that’s what influencing is all about but, I prefer to call myself a content creator.

What I wish I knew before influencer life

People think influencers are all play and no work.

I admit I thought this myself for a long time. When I was running my ecommerce store I was working with influencers often. I’d gift and pay them to model the apparel for my store, have them host giveaways for me and share my shop with their audience.

In my eyes, it seemed like they lived a life of glam.
