Thanks Carrie. I've done both. It's definitely a fun hobby and it can get addictive. It's rewarding and I really enjoy it. If you're looking to build an ecommerce store, Shopify is a good choice, yes. For a content site, like a blog, I go with a WordPress self hosted blog.
