September challenge: Writing a Medium story a day

We’re past the halfway point in September. My one-story-a-day challenge is underway and I know some of you are joining me.

Here’s how the September challenge is going so far, how many stories I’ve written, and an overall update.

Writing one Medium story a day this month

I will write one story a day in September.

30 days so 30 stories.

My goal is to write at least one story a day but, I’m giving myself some grace as life happens. So, that means as long as I can write a total of 30 stories in September, regardless if it’s 3 stories one day and 0 the next day, I still consider it a win!

What do I hope to gain from this challenge?

I really just want to get back on track with my writing.

Last month, I wrote around 20 stories which are far less than my monthly average which is usually around 30-something.

So, I hope that this challenge gets me writing more on Medium.

Also hoping to get a boost in my Medium income that’s been declining over the past few months because of the summer slump.

My lowest-earning month on Medium in 11 months

How many stories have I written?

I’m behind, I have to admit.

I’ve written 9 stories.

I should be at 18 stories so I’m way behind.

I tested positive for COVID-19 recently and that’s thrown me for a loop.
