Over the years I’ve tried many side hustles.

I’ve been drawn to them ever since I tried my first side hustle while working my 9-to-5, in hopes of making enough side money to leave my day job behind.

Some are good, some are bad, some are scams (and I have been scammed).

I’m breaking down 11 side hustles I’ve tried, rating them to share my favorites, ones that have good income potential, others I’d never do again, and the scams.

Let’s go!

Freelancing side hustles

Freelancing is about monetizing a skill you have to make money on the side as an independent contractor or freelancer or self employed person.

Just about any skill you have that you work a W2 job for, you can also freelance with.

These are the freelancing side gigs I’ve tried over the years:

  • Graphic design
  • Social media management
