At the end of the month, I eagerly check my Pinterest creator dashboard to see what the next month’s campaigns are.

As a Pinterest Creator Rewards creator, Pinterest pays me to pin.

There are usually about 4 to 5 campaigns that are prepared for the month and you can get a sneak peak at the upcoming month’s campaigns in the last 5 days of the previous month.

For example, November 25 through November 30th, you can see the upcoming campaigns for December.

I check for upcoming campaigns every month, including this month.

Only this time, just 2 days before the start of the next month, I see no campaigns for December.

I notice a notification on my dashboard saying I qualify for a bonus and I’m thrilled.

Then, minutes later I get an email from Pinterest saying Pinterest Creator Rewards is ending.

Shocked.

The email from Pinterest said they are finding other ways to serve creators and pursuing other opportunities to reward creators.

Here’s a clip from the email…

It looks like the goal is to serve more creators. They weren’t able to do that with Pinterest Creator Rewards, apparently.

First, the program wasn’t open worldwide. Then, the requirements to get in were challenging, in my opinion.

It made the program unavailable to many creators so instead, they are looking into other opportunities like:

  • Product tagging
