I Tried Pensight for 30 Days — Honest Review
I tried Pensight for 30 days. I worked with them in a sponsorship during that time. The sponsorship included a Tik Tok video, link in bio and use/display of my Pensight link on my 90K+ Tik Tok account for 30 days.
After using it for a month, here’s my honest feedback…
What’s Pensight?
If you’re looking for a Pensight review, you’re in the right place.
Pensight is a website-alternative tool. You can use it instead of building out a full site, for the purpose of:
- Brand building
- Selling products
- Selling services
- Scheduling coaching sessions
- Subscription memberships
- Group programs
Some competitors are companies like Beacons, Linktree, Stan, and others.
How does Pensight work?
It helps you..
“…turn your link in bio into a digital store.” — Pensight
It’s great to use if you’re on social media or other places online (like forums, online communities, etc.) and you need a space to house your stuff, like your coaching links, email and contact info, etc.
You can share your Pensight link with others and they can get that info.
I used my Pensight link to post my referral links for my brand deals and affiliate links, my Ko-fi link for donations, as well as post my email address if people need to contact me, along with the link to my Substack email newsletter.
There’s tons of personalization, too, so you can create your Pensight page to align with your personal brand…
Example:
Here are some of the ways you can use Pensight:
- 1:1 meetings
- Courses
- Digital products
- Landing pages
- Launch a subscription for your business
- Create a group program
- Video Q&A
- Coaching bundles
- Group sessions
How do subscription memberships work?
You can create an exclusive content feed for your members. These are private posts for your members, complete with features like video, text, image, audio, and files to create a unique and engaging experience for your audience.
Subscriptions are automated, too so it’s relatively hands-off for you, in terms of billing and collecting payment for subscriptions.
How do group programs work?
Group programs are great for coaching or working with a group of people in a program you have.
For example, I coach a group of students in website flipping. I could use Pensight to host that group.
Onboard the students, then, schedule sessions and more.

How do landing pages work?
Pensight landing pages can be built custom, just for your needs.
Here’s an example:
There are tons of templates to pick from. These look like full websites!
Landing pages are great to build for any one of your products. You can choose from any one of Pensight’s high-converting templates to use and you’ll love that landing pages are automatically optimized for all screen sizes.
Sell anything you have from memberships to digital products, coaching, video Q&A sessions and more…
Email marketing and automations
Email marketing allows you to connect with your audience over email. You can create automated email campaigns to send them your message on a schedule on autopilot.
This helps you run marketing 24/7 in the background while you’re working on other parts of your business or living your life.
Automated email marketing can make you passive income.
I was grocery shopping last week and made a big ticket sale from a product that I talked about in an email to my audience!
The email fired from my automated email campaign while I was at the grocery store. The customer read the email and took action by buying the product, making me money!
Pensight’s email marketing help you create email broadcasts and automations.
It’s really easy to set up.
And, you can even import your existing email contacts into Pensight.
Stats and Analytics
Stats and analytics are so crucial, so you can see the data on your pages and products. You want to be able to easily identify what products are growing, declining, page visits, everything…
- Traffic
- Link clicks
- Page visits
- Orders
This can be integrated with Google Analytics.
The GA integration helps you get detailed analytics. And, you can track page views, orders, revenue and how they change over time — 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 12 months.
Pensight vs. a Traditional Website
Pensight is what I like to call a website-alternative. If you don’t want to set up a full site, Pensight is a quick and easy way to get your links and products on the web without a full website.
The benefits of Pensight over a website…
The advantage of Pensight is time-savings and ease.
Once you register for your Pensight account, you just pick the options you want to activate, like courses and video Q&A, for example, then add the details and your link can be live.
It’s incredibly easy to use and they have a responsive support team to help if you get stuck.
The benefits of a website over Pensight…
With a website, you’ll have an opportunity to build out a more expansive presence on the web.
A site can have dozens, hundreds, or thousands of pages. You can use those different pages to sell products, share blog posts, rank for keywords, etc.
But, websites can feel challenging to some people.
I have been building sites for years and I don’t consider myself tech-savvy, at all. I really think anybody can do it but, for those with no experience, they may feel the process is just too overwhelming to even wrap their brain around.
The website-building process is more intricate. There’s a lot more flexibility and customization you can do, compared to using a tool like Pensight. That can be good or bad.
The advantage of a website over Pensight is the opportunity to build tons of different pages online, monetize your website (i.e. ad networks, sponsorships, etc.), rank the content on your site, and appear in search engines like Google, and more.
My personal experience with Pensight
For me, setting up my Pensight account was a breeze.
I have worked with sites like this before so, I was pretty familiar with how the setup would work and what options I wanted to activate.
I thought the layout was kind of plain.
You do get the option to edit your background cover.
To do this, you just click “edit cover” and it lets you use a saved image from your computer. This is good but, for a perfectionist like me, the hundreds of images on my computer are too many to choose from, for a cover.
I’d rather have a set of options that Pensight offers me, then pick from that. That might just be my personal preference.
With Beacons, they give you some different themes to choose from to use on your page, with even more options for the upgraded account.
Another hangup I had was the stats.
They currently look like this…
You can see them on your dashboard when you first login.
I’m used to a more detailed breakdown of stats. It’s cool to see how many times my profile has been viewed, but these are some additional numbers I am looking for…
- How many people viewed each link?
- How many people clicked on each link?
- What was my CTR (click thru rate) on each link?
- How many people visited my profile in August compared to July?
These questions were left unanswered.
All I was able to get was the total profile views and I assume they are all-time views.
This isn’t helpful for me as a creator because, when I pitch myself or get approached by brands for sponsorships and they ask me about my stats, I have no info to provide to them.
Common questions I get from brands who are considering working with me are..
- How many visits did this link from this campaign receive?
- What’s your average CTR for the month?
I would normally get these answers from Pensight, or whatever link in bio tool I’m using at the moment. But, Pensight doesn’t have it.
Meh.
I did chat with Pensight’s team and asked if they had these stats, in case I was looking in the wrong spot. They shared that they don’t have them but, may be something in the works, soon.
How do you make money with Pensight?
You sell stuff through Pensight, they collect payment and pay you.
You can track your earnings right on your dashboard. It looks like this…
I see creators online that use link in bio sites like this and make a killing. There’s definitely a lot of opportunity here.
Pensight pricing
There’s no upfront pricing to use Pensight, which I absolutely love.
Here’s what they say about pricing, straight from their FAQ…
So, they collect a percentage of the revenue you earn.
If you earn zero, then they earn zero. If you make $100, then they collect 3% of that amount, or $3, for example. There’s also a card processing fee, you’ll want to consider, which they share is 3%.
Update: Pensight’s pricing plan
The basic account is still free but, you can choose a paid plan to get more amazing features like access to memberships and group programs and more.
Final Thoughts | Pensight Review
If you’re looking for a link in bio site to use online, I think Pensight is a contender.
They have made some major strides in updating the tool. There are now analytics and a host of other new features I shared above.
A total one stop shop for you!
Use Pensight as a quick way to sell your products online, get clients for coaching, or use some of their other options, then Pensight can get the job done.
What do you think about link in bio website options like Pensight?
