I found one client through Starter Story. They email me writing assignments nearly every month. I find writing jobs on Problogger Jobs, through referrals, and networking. Facebook groups, too. I don't do any active advertising for getting writing clients, other than saying "Writer for Hire" in my Instagram or other social profiles. Hope this helps.
