Avocademy Review — Is an $85K Career in UI/UX Design Possible?

The rise of tech boot camps is among us. I love the idea of taking a quick training to learn valuable career-driven skills to help you work in a high-paying vocation without a college degree or experience.

I attended a university and I remember seeing commercials on TV for a lot of vocational schools in my area.

They taught skills for working jobs in industries like aerospace, healthcare, IT, and others. They seemed great but, here’s what I didn’t like about them.

• They were in-person only
• The jobs weren’t high-paying

So sure, you could go to a vocational school for 9 months and come out being able to work in a profession but, I can’t get excited about working for $16/hour or $18/hour, after training.

There’s got to be something better out there.

There is!

Tech boot camps.
