7 Things Netflix’s Maid Taught Me About Single Mothers

I stumbled upon this movie that Netflix seemed to think I had a 98% chance of liking, called Maid.

I saw the previews and while it looked good, it wasn’t the kind of movie I wanted to watch right then.

When you watch those trailers you can kind of sense if they are feel good movies, make me cry movies, horrible horror, etc.

I just wasn’t in the mood for this kind of movie but I decided to throw caution to the wind and say fuck it.

It’s just a movie (actually it’s a series) and I’m willing to gamble about an hour on one episode to see if I really like it.

To my surprise, I actually loved it!

It was so good, I even got my husband hooked.

It tells the story of a single mother and the struggles she goes through raising her child in the world, while escaping an abusive relationship.

I know nothing about single motherhood

I’m not a single mother.

I never have been.

I have one good friend who is one and other than what I see in the media, I don’t know much about what mamas who are raising their kids alone are experiencing.
